Can I bid non-electronically or with convention way?
Yes, you can bid also non-electronically i.e. physical submission of hard
copy in CAAN office.
Do I have to register as a Bidder to bid?
YES. A Bidder must register by providing the required information in the
application form. Also, the Bidder shall need to confirm the registration by
clicking the specified link in the CAAN's automatic generated email to the bidder
requesting conformation.
Does a bidder need to pay for registration?
No.
Do I have to register repeatedly for each tender of CAAN?
No. You have to register only once. The same account will be used for all
tenders published by CAAN.
Can a bidder bid a tender without purchasing tender document?
No. An interested bidder must purchase the tender document with specified fee
from office of CAAN. Only then, the specified bidder's account will be enabled
to bid in a particular tender.
Can I purchase tender document electronically?
No. You have to present in concerned office.
How many passwords do I have?
You have two passwords. One password is for login purpose and other for BOQ
purpose. Both passwords are important and must be kept secure. The password
for login purpose may be same for multiple tenders but you must use different
passwords for BOQ submission for every tenders..
What type of facility does a Bidder need for submission of bid,
electronically?
For e-submission purpose a bidder may need the following facilities like i)
Internet Connection ii) Scanner iii) Skilled Computer operator for use of
scanner and uploading files..
From when a Bidder can submit the bids, electronically?
The e-tender system will accept the e-submission of bids from the date after publishing of notice and will automatically not
allow the e-submission of bid after the deadline for submission of bid. The
standard time for e-submission is Nepalese Standard Time as set out on the
server of CAAN.
Can I withdraw bided tender?
YES. Bidder may cancel or withdraw his/her bided document.
Can I modify bided tender?
No. Once submitted bid can not be modified by bidder.
Is my e-submitted bid is secured and confidential?
YES. The e-tender system has sufficient security mechanism to protect data.
All confidential data are stored in database in encrypted form. No one can see
the actual data even one know database password. Bidder's
e-submitted bids could not be viewed by the official of CAAN till the end of bid
submission time and without password of bidder.
